Montbretia, Floral Art Print

Montbretia, or Crocosmia, with its bright orange flowers and grass-like leaves, is another one of those non-native plants that line the roads of West Cork and other parts of Ireland during the late summer.

It spreads easily through corms, so it can become invasive, and can out-compete native plants.  I don’t advise planting this unless you’re prepared to prevent it from spreading into the countryside.

You could just err on the side of caution and enjoy the gorgeous vibrant flowers all year round on my print!

The mount board is lignin-free, alkaline-sized, pH neutral and calcium carbonate buffered to enhance its useful lifespan by minimising the effect of atmospheric pollutants.

The prints are packaged in an environmentally friendly, compostable, clear protective sleeve.
