Fuchsia, Floral Art Print

Fuchsia, a deciduous shrub, originated in South America but is now naturalised in Ireland. It can be found growing as a hedge along roads and in gardens in coastal areas. Loved by pollinators, our hedge seems to vibrate with their buzzing when the iconic purple/pink and red flowers are open throughout late spring to autumn.

As a child, I was shown how to break off a flower stem and suck on the nectar at the base of the flower, a tradition that I continue every year, to refresh my memory of the taste and to link back to those glorious childhood summers.

Each print is hand-signed and titled to guarantee authenticity and comes with some background information on an insert.

Each design is printed using eco-friendly plant-based inks onto high quality 100% recycled and carbon neutral 300 gsm paper. The paper is 100% recyclable, biodegradable and FSC certified, ECF and acid-free.

The mount board is lignin-free, alkaline-sized, pH neutral and calcium carbonate buffered to enhance its useful lifespan by minimising the effect of atmospheric pollutants.

The prints are packaged in an environmentally friendly, compostable, clear protective sleeve.
