The Story of Luna’s Legacy - Pet Commemoration
20th July 2023, being the 5th anniversary of our rescue lurcher Luna’s passing, I launched ‘Luna’s Legacy’ as a way to help commemorate our pets, to celebrate their lives and their time with us, and also to raise funds for animal rescue charities. Click here to read about Luna and her sister, Seren, two abandoned lurchers found in Drogheda and adopted into our family in 2007.
This is the photo I took of Luna on Ballyquin beach, Ardmore, Co Waterford, and my thoughts that led me to design the ‘Kelp’ tea towel/mini wall hanging. The coastal palette came from the colours of the sky, sea, sand and her coat.
Luna was lying in wait for her sister, Seren, ready to herd her back to us when she was within reach. Luna loved to have a munch on Kelp stems that she’d fin
