Whatever our age, we can all benefit from spending time in nature, being in the moment and relaxing. Join me for a couple of hours of doodling outdoors in the beautiful gardens at Heron Gallery, Ahakista.

We will use sketching to help us really see the beauty in the area around us. If we learn to appreciate nature, we will grow to love our wild places and want to look after them. And hopefully spread the word that Nature is our Home, not just a place to visit.

This is not a 'How to Draw' workshop. You need no artistic experience to join in. Green Sketching is not about creating mini masterpieces. What matters is the process, that you take time to look and really see elements in the landscape that spark joy for you. Hopefully, at the end of the two hours, you'll leave the workshop with your spirits lifted and feeling more relaxed.

Please Note:

All materials will be provided. No prior drawing experience is needed.

Refreshments will be available at the end of the workshop, but please bring along your own water bottle to keep hydrated during the workshop.

There is a toilet on site.

This is an outdoor event. Please come prepared for all weathers. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear. The garden pathways vary from paved to gravel and grass.

If you find standing around tiring, you might like to bring along a waterproof cushion or fold-up stool.

Maximum group size of twelve adults for the workshop.

Parking is available across the road from the Heron Gallery.

I reserve the right to cancel a workshop with insufficient bookings. If this happens, I will refund all fees.

If a participant cancels before August 12th, fees will be refunded. After that date I will not refund fees, unless in exceptional circumstances.

I will email more details to all participants a couple of days before the event.
