I've continued to trade online, amid all of the uncertainty over the last number of months and have also been back at Skibbereen Farmers' Market on Saturdays. Thank you so much for your support and purchases. It means a lot.
I recently set up at the first ever Mountain View Farmers' Market near Ballyhale, Co Kilkenny. What a day! As well as being able to spend time with my family who live nearby, it was wonderful to see people out and about, social distancing of course, and supporting local businesses. Continued success to all involved in organising the market. To celebrate this new venture, I'll be launching a new design there and online on Sunday July 26th.
I launched my 'Montbretia' tea towel design in late May, to coincide with the day that Bloom 2020 should have kicked-off. It's been very popular so far, especially as a gift for people who can't visit Ireland at the moment.
Other news from here... I've been loving watching the Swallows and House Martins flying around the house and swooping over the pond. Swallows have been nesting in our old stone outbuilding for years, but this is the first year to have House Martins. We fixed an artificial nest to the house in May and one pair found it three weeks later! Which just goes to show, if you build it, they will come. So, go do something positive for Nature. Nature is Home, after all. Stay safe. X
